Fundraising Events

These activities have created a new type of social/recreational/public relations/leadership building/confidence building opportunity for Friends and Advocates Peel members.   

The "Furry Friends" Fundraiser goes on throughout the year.  Community Booths are set up around the Peel Region to promote awareness and support.  With a small donation, the donator receives a furry friend as a token of our appreciation.

The "Ticket Blitz" FUNdraiser is an annual event put on by Friends & Advocates Peel.  The community is invited to this exciting event which is organized by the members. For the Months of August to September, Lots will be displayed at the Friends & Advocates Peel office.  Each Lot is made up of one or more items with an associated value of $75 up to more than $500.  Participants can purchase 10 tickets for $5.  Participants can purchase as many blocks as desired, no limit.   There will be a ticket jar for each Lot.  The final day of the event is 17 September, 2011 at Shopper's World Mall. On that day, one ticket will be drawn from each jar.  The owner of that ticket will win that Lot.

"Nevada Break Open Tickets" is an instant win lottery program that also benefits Friends & Advocates Peel.  Non-profit organizations can participate in this fundraising opportunity sponsored by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.  Purchasers can buy the tickets and win instant prizes by revealing a specific arrangement of numbers or symbols.  Tickets can be purchased at the following locations.
